If you have a bunch of quick healthy recipes at your finger tips, staying in shape will be a cinch.
Well … even if it’s not a cinch, at least it’ll help a lot. Of course the food has to taste great too. Otherwise, you’ll have a hard time sticking with a healthy diet.
Here’s one recipe that I’ve used many times whenever I want a quick healthy meal or even just a snack.
The best part is that I don’t need to cook anything for this meal.
And I need only 4 easy-to-find ingredients.
That’s it! Put a mixture of salmon, avocado and salad leaves in your mouth together, rather than eating them separately. It’s delicious!
Feel free to use more of the ingredients depending on how hungry you are. :-)
Not only is this meal tasty, it’s very nutritious too.
If you want to be fit and in shape forever, you’ve got to learn to eat well-balanced and nutritious food most of the time.
You’ve got to eat all macro nutrients. That is protein, carbohydrate and fat.
In this meal, smoked salmon and avocado give you protein and healthy fats. And salad leaves give you carbohydrates and all the important vitamins and minerals.
Want To Carry This Meal Out?
If you want to pack this meal for lunch at work, simply put the whole thing between two slices of bread. Then you’ve got an instant sandwich you can take with you.
If you can, try using only one slice of bread, since bread is not the most healthy choice. (See this article for more explanation.)
A Note About Fishy Choice
The best choice of salmon is wild salmon, caught from the ocean.
You could use farmed salmon if the wild variety is unavailable (or too expensive).
But be careful.
It’s a mine field out there. Not all farmed salmon is safe. If you tend to buy farmed fish, watch this video on this page: Are you buying "toxic fish" at the grocery store?
It’s pretty scary. Something very fishy is going on there. :-)
